It is our absolute privilege to raise money for Warriors for Freedom. Their campaign, Rememberingthe22.org is a staggering reminder of how much our veterans need our support. Each and every day 22 confirmed veterans commit suicide each day due to untreated combat-related stressors and injuries.
Warriors for Freedom Foundation provides mental, physical and wellness support to our nations heroes and their families in the areas of outdoor activities, scholarships and promoting mental health and wellness awareness, specifically Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Combat Stress Reaction (CSR) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Q: If you're asking yourself: Why do Ryan and Lisa care so much about veterans?
Answer: Well, you should too because they are amazing humans. And also:
Lisa's grandpa, affectionately known by all as "Grandpa Rudy", was a proud WWII veteran, and was awarded a purple heart after coming home from combat. Veterans Day, 2011 he was buried; as Taps played slowly and white gloved hands folded the flag he fought so hard under (and Lisa cried until she couldn't breathe), we made a commitment to helping those that keep us safe and free.
Even if you are unable to donate financially, please consider volunteering your time and talents in some way to help a veteran.

Question: Is it weird that we're plugging another veterans charity and asking you to support this one?
Answer: No. There is no such thing as "too much support" for veterans.
Question: How is the training going?
Answer: Awesome! ha - just kidding. We have good days and bad days. Tired days and less tired days. But knowing that we're running for such a great cause really does provide a lot of motivation.
