Local Matters is growing!! Help Seed the Future of Local Matters as we work collaboratively with communities throughout Ohio and beyond to critically impact hunger and chronic disease through healthful food education and access.
In January of 2016, Local Matters is moving to a new facility and building a culinary classroom that will support future expansion to provide on-site classes to healthcare professionals and community members, and train satellite partners. We expect this move to double our impact over the next three years. Thanks to generous early support from the CareSource Foundation, The Columbus Foundation and the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation, Medical Mutual of Ohio, American Electric Power, and the Fitness Loft, we were able to begin construction in early November.
But…There is still much to be done in order for us to reach 22,000 people annually by 2018. Become part of the movement by making a tax-deductible donation to our Seeding the Future Campaign! The $25,000 raised through this campaign will directly support expanded programming in the new space.
$100 to $499—receive a Local Matters Mason Jar and a healthful recipe for pickles.
$500 to $999—receive a Local Matters Mason Jar AND donor recognition in our new office space.
$1,000 to $10,000 donations will be recognized through personalized cutting boards to be displayed on our Seeding the Future donor wall.
More specifics regarding etched cutting board recognition:
Donors at the $5,000 level will be combined in groups of two onto a single cutting board, to be displayed on the Seeding the Future wall, lining the hallway adjacent to the Local Matters main entrance.
Donors at the $10,000 level will be recognized on individual cutting boards, which will be displayed on the Local Matters Seeding the Future wall, lining the hallway adjacent to the Local Matters main entrance.
Thank you for helping healthy communities grow by Seeding the Future.
