BENEFITING: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
What's the Goal?
Run 1400 miles in 2014 for St Jude raising $5.35 per mile ($7500).
"Run Fast. Do Good." That just means run with excellence and run with a purpose. I love to compete but competing alone doesn't drive me. Running for a greater good is a big part of what leading a fulfilling life is all about to me.
How Can You Help?
Sponsor at least ONE MILE at $5.35. Knowing it will benefit St Jude's life-saving mission to help children who are too young to face life threatening illnesses.

I began running seriously in 2013 as a way to improve my health and have a fun outlet for stress.
However, the more I ran and the more I overcame the more I conituned to push my goals and my limits further than I ever thought I could. As much as I loved the challenge that running long distances presented I was truly aprehensive about running a long distance race like a marathon (or even a half marathon). However, when the opportunity to run for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was presented to me something was sparked to take on an even greater challenge since I realized I could run not just for my own good but for someone else's.
I'm happy to say I was able to complete my first half marathon in Atlanta in March of 2014 and then my first marathon in Nashville in April of 2014. But I'm truly humbled and grateful that my efforts were supported by friends and family who helped me raise over $3000 for St Jude so far this year.
Now I'm taking on a year long goal to keep raising money for St. Jude with every mile that I run.
I'll participating in a marathon this Fall on the Silver Comet Trail in Metro Atlanta as well as a half marathon (which may be a full... we'll see how it goes) in Savannah.
Thank you for supporting me!
