Send Him to Soccer Camp
Organized by: Cody Swicegood
I have grown very close to a family who has and continues to show me unconditional love and acceptance, and have opened my eyes to other walks of life. The mother of this small, tight family unit always welcomes me into their home and freely shares all things as if they were my own. Through time I have grown close to her 12-year-old son, who through all the struggles that often come to their door is optimistic, bright and never asks for anything for himself. He is a sixth grader at Mount Airy Middle School, and is very interested and becoming increasingly involved in soccer as a sport. There are two soccer camps this summer that he so deeply wishes to attend. They are both held in town, in Mount Airy, and are a week long each. The cost for each camp is $50 for a total of $100 for both camps. Money for the family is already stretched very thin, but we are dedicated to doing everything in our power to get him to the camps, which he fully deserves. I'm asking to please help send him to the camps, and I am also asking for an additional $100 (or anything that can be spared) so that we can purchase him a new and worthy pair of cleats. Thank you so much for your help, and God bless!
