Send Miss Donna to Germany

Miss Donna has never been overseas, but has had a lifelong dream of visiting Germany, where her mother grew up. Several years ago she and her husband, along with her sister and brother began a plan to visit her mother's hometown, Bremen, Germany, together. Tragically, her sister lost her battle with cancer this past summer, and now Donna doubts she will ever make it there, although she still has living relatives there whom she would be thrilled to meet. For those who do not know her, Donna is an incredibly selfless, generous, and open-hearted individual. Despite facing long-term recovery from a broken hip (she slipped on a melted puddle of snow in the school hallway last November) Donna continues to show up each day to help students struggling in literacy, equipped with an infallible optimism an encouraging words for downtrodden colleagues. Those who have worked with her can attest that her patience and dedication are an inspiration to all who work with children. There is no one more deserving of a chance to experience the world and reconnect with her heritage. It would be fantastic to present her with this opportunity at the end of the school year. Thank you for your generosity - even the smallest contributions are helpful! (Please keep this fund a secret from Donna. If it works out, we would like for it to be a surprise)
