EVENT DATE Oct 27, 2016

The first thing to know: We're a familia, first and foremost. We provide a nurturing environment to any student that wants to become a better professional and succeed in their STEM field.

Our organization is called MAES: Latinos in Science and Engineering Student Chapter at San Antonio College. Or MAES @ SAC for short. Our goal is to help all SAC students be better prepared for their chosen career by hosting workshops like résumé building and bringing in professional speakers from the field to talk to future engineers. We also challenge our members by competing in the Shell Eco-Marathon, a global fuel-efficiency competition where teams submit their vehicles to race in Detroit.

Together we can send all of our members to the MAES Symposium 2016, the premiere national event being held in Anaheim, California. There we can present our research on our Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car, compete in Decathlon, and network with several Fortune 500 companies, such as Exxon-Mobil and Lockheed Martin.
