Advocacy for Internally Displaced Children In Ngeria (AIDCN) began work in year 2010. At the same time, we set up a wide-reaching fight against hunger, prevent malnutrition and improve lives of boys,girls and mothers and also established a vaccination program against meningitis.We strive to meet the needs of vulnerable children and their families with lifesaving and life-changing programs. We are charity alliance of U.N.-based nonprofits and their US partners working to help children, families, and communities throughout Nigeria especially the Northern part. Since the advent of terrorist attacks in Northern Nigeria, there has been a large displacement of people due to Boko Haram (BH) insurgency. The situation in Northern Nigeria remains critical, particularly in Borno State. There is an estimated 1.5 million insurgency-related IDPs in Nigeria, majority in north-eastern states. Large number of people are still displaced by violence and now lacking health care services, shelter, and water and sanitation systems. In our campaign Projects for 2016, we look towards expanding our reach in various capacities in other to improve the health, education and socio economic status of IDPs. We look towards achieving these following projects. We will ensure that both male and female child have equal opportunity. PROJECT TWO: First 1000 women and children to be vaccinated against polio and meningitis. PROJECT THREE: First 5000 individuals to be treated against Malaria and distribution of 1000 pieces of Insecticide treated net.
