Sending Kenyan Youth to School
Organized by: Alexis Hernandez
In Mumias, Kenya (a small, rural town in Western Kenya) many children are denied the education we tend to take for granted here in the US. Many kids are unable to afford school fees, suffer from debilitating infections that prevent them from attending class, or are too busy taking care of younger siblings orphaned by the HIV epidemic. It is a well known and accepted fact that education is the most important social factor in preventing disease and engendering healthy communities. Help us send 10 Kenyan children to school so that they will have the ability to permanently and sustainably better their community! Your donation will go towards school fees for both the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years, uniforms, and books.
