Send Kevin to Zambia!
Organized by: Kevin Grant
Who: Kevin Grant and Choshen Farm, a non-profit, self-sustaining farm established and run by our friends, Jeremy and Bethany Colvin.
What: Kevin will be traveling to rural Zambia to help Jeremy on the farm. He will be in charge of roofing the new, larger village preschool (which involves welding and playing with fire and boy toys) and helping develop the land for the upcoming crop season in Fimpulu (which involves playing with tractors and rototillers and more boy toys) .
Where: Fimpulu is a rural Zambian village with a population of approximately 5,000. It is located in the northern part of the country, in the Luapula district.
When: Mid-December 2014 through mid-January 2015.
Why: Kevin desires to help Choshen Farm serve the people of Fimpulu, and to help Jeremy and Bethany in their goal of developing a Christ-centered community in the village.
How You Can Help: In order to travel to Africa, Kevin needs your help to fund the following elements of his trip:
1.) Flight: because flying to Zambia is super-pricey.
2.) Vaccines and Inoculations: because Yellow Fever and Malaria do not make awesome souvenirs.
3.) Supplies: because welding and farming require more than just bare hands and brute strength.
