“What do you want to do when you grow up?” Throughout the years, every time I have been asked this question, the answer has remained the same, “I want to love people”. I have always had a heart for the lost and broken, especially after having walked through that journey myself. The idea of “loving people” for a living seemed so vague, yet so intentional. At first, I wasn’t completely sure what I meant by that, other than I believe God was calling me to missions. In 2013 I watched a documentary called The Pink Room. This was the day I learned about the horrible crime of sex-trafficking. My heart cried and I began shaking with passion as I felt God saying to me, “This is what I am calling you to… I will send you behind enemy lines and you will bring back what has been stolen.” Following this event, I got a call from Mercy Ministries letting me know that I was accepted into their program. Mercy is a Christ-centered residential home for girls that focus on bringing healing and restoration to the lives of young women. In faith, I left my job and my school to go spend six months at the Mercy home, partnering with God and my counselor to work through life hurts. While I was there I received healing from eating disorders, sexual abuse, and oppression. I learned about renewing the mind and the power of speaking God’s Word over my life. Daily I declared multiple scriptures of healing over myself. During this time, I never stopped seeking God about ministry. By faith I prayed this Scripture from Isaiah 61:1 “For the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me because the Lord has appointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and to set the prisoners free”. I believe this Scripture to be true, and have spent the last 2 years (after graduating Mercy) waiting upon the Lord to direct me in His path. The Puzzle Pieces come together When did Youth with a Mission (YWAM) come into the picture, you ask? It all started with a close friend who left the country to join YWAM. I couldn’t help but think, “That’s what I am supposed to be doing!” Several months passed and then the Lord gave me a dream: My friend came to me and said “Come and follow me”. I began asking God when He would send me and where? Recently Australia became very heavy on my heart. Again, I was encouraged to pray about YWAM. My confirmation came one night after a prayer meeting. There was a letter in the mail box from a girl who graduated from Mercy and then went on to begin her life of missions as a partner with YWAM! The letter contained a picture of the girl; she looks exactly like me! This was all too close to be a coincidence. I knew in my heart that God was answering my prayers very specifically. I applied in faith, knowing that the ministry start date is only one month away. The YWAM base that I am joining is located in Perth, Australia. The DTS (Discipleship Training Program) has a three month training phase that focuses on specific content: Hearing God’s voice, Father Heart of God, Relationships, Forgiveness and Repentance. So why Australia? This specific base partners with a local ministry called Priceless, which is a ministry that is working to abolish slavery locally and internationally. The DTS that I will be attending has the added element of focus on Human Trafficking, Slavery, Prostitution, and other issues of injustice. After the three months of training I will be going on an outreach, ministering in faith and prayer, and partnering with the Holy Spirit to help bring hope and breakthrough to those trapped in human trafficking. It seems like a lot to take in, but I know that I am stepping into God’s plan for my life. Back in 2013, before I even had a chance to question myself or the Lord, I was given this verse from Jeremiah 1:7 “Do not say, “I’m too young, for you must go wherever I send you, and say whatever I tell you. Do not be afraid of the people, for I will protect you, I, the Lord, have spoken!” Now, two years later, I believe that God is calling me to walk out His promises. I am taking this step of faith, continuing to trust in Him when He says, “Everything is possible for those who believe”. In addition, when I return to the U.S. I am planning to continue my mission in the Sacramento Region which is #2 in the country for sex-trafficking, BUT also one of the strongest efforts to fight for freedom for these precious girls. Would you be willing to partner with me to bring Hope and Healing to those trapped in the horrific nightmare of sex-trafficking? Please consider standing in faith with me as a shareholder in this ministry, and together bring The Light of Gospel to women who are desperate for Freedom. I know firsthand the horror of abuse and I am being Called to bring Hope to others like I those who brought Hope to me… I know that this Calling might not be for everyone, but if you send me, I will go! If you are able to do so, please consider giving a one time gift, or a monthly commitment for the 6 months I will be serving. Here is a list of costs that you can partner with me on to help send me to YWAM’s ministry school: Temporary visa- $500 Plane ticket- $1,500 Air miles can also be donated toward the cost of the ticket Training School - $2,800 Covering: Room and Board Outreach Trips - $3,000 The outreach portion could be funded later in the program Home expeneses while I am at YWAM: $ Car payment: $215/mo. Praying for someone to “lease” my car for 6 months and cover car payments.  As you seek God as to how you may be able to partner with me, I will also be praying for you. Thank you again for considering this opportunity to join with me in being God’s Hands and Feet to women who need Hope and Freedom more then ever. Answering the Call, Trina
