Seniors for Seniors recovers some costs from our adoption and surrender fees, but this simply is not enough to cover the complete care of the cats in our program. As you may know, when feline friends fall ill, they can quickly accrue veterinarian bills in the high hundreds or even thousands of dollars. We recently ended up with a $3,600 vet bill after rescuing Felix and Mandy, both of whom came down with calicivirus, a serious illness that they were lucky to survive. And because we have as our mission the rescue and placement of senior cats, our routine vet bills are higher than most. Ten-year-old Scarlett and eleven-year old Little Man need urgent dental care. Our existing vet bills are nearing $5,000, so we are counting on your generous donation to help these sweet cats out.
