Sera Mey Food Fund was established as a non profit in Canada that reaches out to people around the world to help support and raise funds to purchase food for over 2000 Tibetan Buddhist Monks and 350 Children at the Sera Mey Monastery in Bylakuppe India. The monastery is once again in dire needs of food to feed everyone and any kind of help would be wonderful. I have set up the non profit in Canada and our website is serameyfund.org. You can donate any amount of money there through paypal or your visa and can also sponsor a monk for the small fee of $160 a year or $15 a month. This money will go towards feeding the monks, providing school supplies for them and basic needs. Sera Mey is one of His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibets monastery and Sera Mey is the monastic university for all Tibetan monks and is considered as the "Light" of Tibetan Buddhism. The cost to feed a monk is roughly $1 a day. I am also in the process of trying to start a farming program surrounding the Sera Mey Monastery where we can sponsor Tibetan and Indian families to farm their land, we will provide the seeds, help, irrigation and the crop can be split 50% with the Monastery to help subsidize the food needs.
