BENEFITING: THE SERGEANT THOMAS JOSEPH SULLIVAN CENTER
ORGANIZER: THE SERGEANT THOMAS JOSEPH SULLIVAN CENTER
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
As many of you know, I am training to run the Chicago Marathon as a member of Team Sergeant Sullivan this year. In committing to run 26.2 miles, I have also pledged to raise $1000 in support of the Sergeant Sullivan Center.
The Sergeant Sullivan Center (SSC) was founded in memory of Sergeant Thomas Sullivan, who passed away from illness that began after his exposure to toxins in post-9/11 Iraq. One in three soldiers returns ill from the Middle East, and the SSC works to put an end to their suffering. The SSC's mission is to promote awareness, aid in research, and assist in improving the overall health of veterans after deployment.
Any support we can offer the SSC is support for our veterans, who have so admirably served our country. I am excited to run my first marathon, and I'm honored to be running as a member of Team Sergeant Sullivan.
Thank you so much!
