ABOUT THE VISTAS PROGRAM (Victims in Safe Transition and Self-Sufficiency): the VISTAS program provides culturally and linguistically responsive services for English and Spanish-speaking victims of domestic violence, stalking, dating violence, sexual assault, human trafficking. Services include: - Extensive case management - Legal advocacy - Assistance filling out legal documents for divorce - Child custody and protection orders - Victim’s Advocates, who may accompany clients to court and guide them through the legal process while offering moral support - Connection to legal resources as needed - Immigration lawyers for potential recourse through a U-Visa or the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Throughout the year, VISTAS provides ongoing support groups for victims of sexual assault, as well as several support groups for victims. VISTAS also operates a 24-hour crisis line for victims of domestic violence, that is staffed by staff and volunteers. ABOUT SERVICIOS DE LA RAZA: Servicios de La Raza's mission is to provide and advocate for culturally responsive, essential human services and opportunities. These services are intended to assist low-income members of the community in overcoming the range of problems that result in a lack of resources and contribute to the perpetuation of the vicious cycle of poverty. Because of the value placed on the community, culture and language, Servicios de La Raza serves as an integral part of the heart of the Latino community in Metro Denver, a trusted and accessible community resource strategically linked with many of Metro Denver’s schools and churches.Equally important, Servicios de La Raza is also a primary service referral channel for many human services agencies and institutions in the Metro Denver region as they encounter Latino clientele.
