Seth Alan Jaw Surgery Fund
Organized by: LIZBETH LOVERA
On June 19, 1993, Seth Alan was born with a congenital birth defect known as a cleft lipand palate. Over the years he has had to endure numerous corrective surgeries to treat this. The last and final surgery - the jaw surgery - had to be put off until Seth finally stopped growing. It has now reached that time. The out of pocket after insurance pays is still very high and we find ourselves needing help with this cost. This surgery will pull his upper jaw forward, aligning his bite and lengthening his palate, while simultaneously fixing his very deviated septum and repairing the fistula in the sinus floor so that he no longer has a hole going from his mouth up into his nose. This surgery is expected to take 7-8 hours and will necessitate a 2 night hospital stays as well as a liquid diet for 2 weeks. Most of you know that Seth has undergone so much to finally get to this point and has touched many of your hearts along the way in all that he has endured with surgeries and illnesses. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated in achieving our goal so he can have this surgery as a large present for his 21st birthday on June 19 of 2014. The Surgery is all scheduled for JULY 1, 2014!
