BENEFITING: SEVERSON SISTERS FOUNDATION
Severson Sisters is creating and publishing a series of workbooks as a way for parents / guardians to implement the Severson Sisters bullying-solution and self-compassion program at home with their own super awesome girls.
The money from this funding campaign will go directly to hiring an editor for the workbook series, hiring the design team and purchasing workbooks for our own program needs.
The workbooks are designed for girls ages 11 – 14.
Each workbook will highlight one theme. The first one is RESPECT. Severson Sisters is also creating workbooks around RELATIONSHIPS, HEALTHY BODIES, PEER PRESSURE, ACCEPTANCE and COMPETITION.
We include creative exercises throughout the workbook that focus on enhancing self-esteem as it is related to the overall theme.
Questions within the workbook will guide parents / guardians and daughters through conversation that highlights the overall theme, what’s happening at school, what’s happening within their after-school clubs and their social networks.
From there, the workbook leads parents and girls into a series questions and discussion topics related to bullying situations. Based on the answers provided, the parents / guardians and girls will see what role the girls are most experienced with – being bullied, bullying or standing by.
