Dear Director of INGOs, NGOs, Foundation, Charity,
Re: Funding Application to Clinton Foundation
I am writing to you on behalf of the SEED Cambodia (NPO), empowering poorest and extreme people especially women through promotion of social business enterprise. We have been working since early 2013 with small own capital joined investment together by Cambodia volunteer team.
In early 2013, we have been established our 1st small social business project, known as “Sewing Community Enterprise or SCE” project in the Siem Reap province. The project is focusing for two main objectives are life skill training (to provide a marketable vocational training of sewing skill and other necessaries life skill training) and job opportunity to work with the long-term sustainability of SCE’s project.
In according our study research and real interview with some chief of communes in some of districts in Siem Reap province, showed that most of poorest and extreme poor people live out of their community to seeking a job in the capital city and go to work in Thailand country. The main reasons of moving are no local job, less land for doing rice field, fail to raising pig, chicken, or other agriculture jobs, owe to banks, MFIs or villagers. So, this is the kind of lack for poor community development and lacks of the job for poor people to do in the community base that can survival their family expense. In additionally, this people moving or immigration issues might be the roof case of human trafficking, drop school children increase, domestic violence, etc.
SEED has strong confident to launch the SCE’s project to become sustainability and hop to help more and more of extreme poor, poor and other vulnerable people to get the skill and job within their community; so that, they will have ability to arrange their family well and ability to send their children to go to school for future prosperity change. Moreover, we also strong confident that this project will have financial sustainability as well as ability to extend the business project for more help of target people in after the project finished.
Thus, SEED would like to approach the Foundation, NGOs, or charity person for financial support of this importance project under its “Sewing Community Enterprise” project. I would therefore be delighted to discuss this project with you at your earliest convenience and I look forward to hearing from you.
