September 29th 2015 marked my 1 year anniversary of working at SFBBO! I've counted hundreds of thousands (millions?) of birds since then & learned so much along the way. I'm constantly surprised and excited by what I see out in the bay, and forever thankful that I to get to work alongside such similarly passionate people!
A large part of the bird conservation work that I do is made possible through generous donations from members of the community who also share a love for nature and want to see it preserved & protected. You too can help!
If you love birds & science please consider donating whatever dollar amount you can afford to help us reach our fundraising goal!

The 19th Annual California Fall Challenge at the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory is the time to celebrate your passion for birds and help meet our mission to conserve birds and their habitats through science and outreach.
Please help us reach our goal of raising $30,000 during this month-long series of events and support the important work of our professional biologists and volunteer citizen scientists!
We encourage anyone who is interested to help us fundraise during the 2015 Fall Challenge! Click on the orange "Donate" button to make a contribution, or on the gray "Fundraise for this Campaign" button if you'd like to join the team and do some fundraising of your own.
The person who raises the most money for SFBBO could win an Andes Birdwatching Tour in Ecuador with Tropical Birding, a Big Year North American Birding Tour with Wildside Nature Tours, a birding package from the Los Gatos Birdwatcher, and more (please see our website at www.sfbbocfc.weebly.com for more details).
Please note that Crowdrise will deduct a 3% processing fee from your donation (this is also the case for donations made through our website via Network for Good). If you'd like the full value of your donation to come to SFBBO, please add an extra 3%. Thank you!
