Many of you know that Scouts for Equality has publicly challenged the Boy Scouts of America on their discriminatory membership policies for years. Along the way, we've had to do some things that hurt a little. Sharing stories of people being kicked out in the national media. Lobbying for some corporations to end their funding. But along the way, we never gave up on Scouting. We never stopped encouraging families to join the Boy Scouts.
As of Monday, July 27, 2015, we can focus exclusively on encouraging families to join Scouting. We want to put all our efforts into rebuilding the Boy Scouts into the premier youth-serving program in America. We will spend the next year reaching out to new chartering partners, in an effort to create new inclusive units. It's an exciting time for us, and we look forward to collaborating with our supporters, progressive faith partners, allied non-profit organizations, and the Boy Scouts of America to ensure a fully inclusive Scouting movement. Join us in bringing inclusive Scouting to those that need it the most.
