THE STORY:
Dear Family and Friends,
I am excited to let you know that I will be running my fourth NYC Marathon on November 1, 2015 to support Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Shaare Zedek Medical Center treats more than 650,000 patients each year, including more than 60,000 children! The Hospital delivers more than 22,000 babies a year which is more than triple the number of babies born in most hospitals. Shaare Zedek plays a lead role in Emergency Medicine in Israel as well as saving lives in natural disasters around the world such as those in recent years in the Philippines, Japan and Haiti.
On April 27th, a delegation of nine senior medical personnel from Shaare Zedek Medical Center left for the earthquake zone in Katmandu. The delegation is part of the IDF Medical Mission dispatched in the wake of the humanitarian disaster which struck the region on Saturday, April 25th.
The hospital is also known for its expertise in Cardiology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Genetics, Pulmonology, and Oncology.
