"Shady Paws" is the start of a program by Southern California Bulldog Rescue where senior bulldogs and bulldogs in hospice care will be supported by the rescue program while in the homes of families providing care. Shaddy Paw homes will act as 'retirement homes' for the neediest of bulldogs and provide the love these dogs deserve. SCBR though a network of volunteers, veterinary professionals and donations from supporters will help provide these bulldogs with the medical care, transportation to vet offices and food as needed.
Shady paw bulldogs are typically senior bulldogs that have been abandoned by owners no longer wanting or willing to care for these bulldogs in their golden years of their lives. Many of the bulldogs are also special needs bulldogs requiring additional care that may of been more than someone wanted to invest in the care of the bulldog. We believe as many other do, that age and special needs are not a reason to turn away a bulldog or end the life too early.
Our retirement program will help find those homes willing to care for these bulldogs and provide the support the home would need with food and medical care while the dog is in 'retirement' with the family.
Our sponsor has offered to match the first match the first $2500.00 in donations made at '$10 and above' to help start this program during the month of May, 2012. So for the month of May, every donation made at and over $10 will be match 100% up to a total of $2000.
Not everyone has the space to bring in an extra bulldog for another year or months, but a community can support a program and made easier for those able to provide the space afford the addational care these bulldogs may need.
Help support the Shady Paws program and give the inital funds it wil need to meet it's goals for making sure every bulldog has home when possible.
