The Story

Thank you so much for taking part in our club-wide service challege for Shadow Warriors Project!  We aim to collectively raise $20,000.00, with the goal of each player raising at leash $250.00.  Local sponsor, 5280 Associates, will match $10,000.00, bringing our potential total to $30,000.00!

Shadow Warriors Project, based out of Monument, Colorado, supports private security contractors who have been injured in the field. Mark "Oz" Geist and his wife, Krystal, started Shadow Warriors Project after Oz recovered from protecting the CIA Security Annex during the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Upon returning to the US, Oz, a true hero, was considered a civilian and therefore not eligible for the post-engagement support he needed. Oz's story, portrayed in the film "13 Hours," inspired the Rattlers to help provide hope to returning security contractors who experience trauma in often the world's most dangerous countries yet often receive little recognition or support.

Players who reach the $250.00 goal will have the opportunity to attend a July 22 Outlaws game with a guest and meet Oz at a special pre-game lunch at Mile High Stadium! Additional tickets can be purchased for $12.00 each.  The five players who raise the most funds will be awarded a signed Denver Outlaws jersey!
