Shanes funeral fund
Organized by: Sarah Hurley
Shane Hale was one of my best friends... we had gone to school together for about three years before I had to move away due to family problems. Naturally our communication became less and less. We tried our hardest to keep in touch with each other even through the busy schedules we had to keep. Eventually we lost contact entirely and the only time I really heard how he was doing was through mutual friends. I believe it was around November when I heard the tragic news, it hit me bad.. Shane was only 19 years old, he had finally passed school, and he'd even found a great paying job and was saving for a car. For now, he had to stick to his bike though. On his way to work one night, a drunk driver was swerving down the road and hit Shane dead on.. The driver never stopped, or even came back to check on him, he just left him in a ditch on the side of the road. Luckily Shane was found by a passerby who had seen him from a distance and called for help. The ambulance came, took him to the hospital and we were all hopeful. Shane was strong, kind hearted.. he had so much kindness left to give and I prayed so very much for him to walk out of those doors with that classic smile of his saying I'm fine guys. Well, Shane didn't make it.. we were there in the hospital for three days when the doctor finally told us he'd passed. I'll never forget the horrible sounds of loss from his mother and father that day. Which is why I'm starting this fundraiser. I know I can never bring their son, my best friend.. back, but I want to at least ease their pain, their lives even just a small ammount. Please help me raise money for the funeral costs, for their debts, to ease a family life that lost their son too soon. I know alot of people like to try and scam out there too, so if you're even just a little doubtful, search this: Shane Hale hit and run Brighton, CO. The news report is about two years old now so it's just articles now, but I know first hand from speaking with his mother.. it's not at all forgotten. Shane will never be forgotten. Thankyou all.
