Here we go!
May 07, 2016
BENEFITING: Fibromyalgia Care Society of America Inc
EVENT: NY/NJ Caterpillar Walk
EVENT DATE: May 07, 2016
I consider myself very lucky - I am still able to do so much more than many others with this disease. I can hold a job (a good one at that), be there with my family, and do this walk to help others. I heard about this last year, and am honored to be able to participate this year.
The Caterpillar Walk program is a fundraising campaign designed to raise awareness and support for Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain. 100% of proceeds raised will support The Fibromyalgia Care Society of America. One of the greatest challenges of this syndrome is the lack of awareness and supportive services available for people living with this chronic illness and their families. The Fibromyalgia Care Society of America has launched this year's theme: Join the Movement, One Step At A Time. Your participation in this walk will help us make Fibromyalgia visible. While many walks have taken place across the country to support our work, this is the 2nd annual walk in NYC. Our goal is to help bring the Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain community together. The NYC Caterpillar Walk will take place on Saturday May 7th. Registration: 9:00 am Where: Hudson River Park (on the river by 23rd Street & West Side Highway) Welcome, Announcements & Awards: 9:45 am Walk Start: 10:00 am followed by finish line photos, entertainment and an afterparty. Click "Join" to register as a walker or create your own Walk Team. Registration is $25.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Even $1.00 will help. Walk with me, if you'd like. Share this page with everyone you know. We'll all get there one step at a time...
