As a part of running the 2017 NYC Marathon, I am fundraising for Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting young women and families, of all Jewish backgrounds, facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage—before, during, and after diagnosis.
In today’s world, my family and community, like most unfortunately, have felt the devastating impact of breast and ovarian cancer. By donating to Sharsheret, we can help provide a community of support women diagnosed with breast cancer or at increased genetic risk, by fostering culturally-relevant individualized connections with networks of peers, health professionals, and related resources. While Sharsheret’s expertise is in the issues facing Jewish women and families impacted by cancer and the BRCA genes, they serve all women with open arms.
I hope you will join me in supporting this worthy cause. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
