BENEFITING: GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN EXPEDITIONS
EVENT DATE: Aug 30, 2014
Global Humanitarian Expeditions, a non-profit volunteer organization, offers a program that places volunteers in countries such as Nepal, India, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand for variety of community development projects. I have chosen India for my expedition August 30, 2014 through September 14, 2014.
Global Humanitarians Expeditions’ mission is to operate volunteer programs around the world in the partnership with local communities, bringing people together to work side-by-side to create and operate community development programs in healthcare and education. With my background in Dental Hygiene, my placement will focus on dental care, which will help local social service pioneers achieve their goals and missions. (e.g. I will have the opportunity to assist other health care providers in setting up dental clinics and providing dental care.) In addition to the services I can provide in dental hygiene will allow me to speak on the importance of dental care, immunizations programs, and HIV/AIDS awareness.
All Global Humanitarian Expeditions programs are run solely by volunteer contributions, and therefore each program has a fee. The fee for this 16-day program, including all meals, lodging, international airline tickets from US and in-country transpiration, total $3,300.
To be able to go on this program, I need financial assistance, which I hope you can help provide. If you choose to lend your support to this cause, you’ll be pleased to know that all donations are 100% U.S. tax-deductible.
All donations, in any amount are helpful. If you choose to contribute all checks should be made out to Global Humanitarian Expeditions, but mailed to me. Should you have any questions about the volunteer program, please call me at 303-378-4571, or call Global Humanitarian Expeditions at (800) 543-1171. Your support, and the support of those you know is greatly appreciate. I look forward to sharing this extraordinary experience with you upon my return.
