BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
EVENT DATE: Apr 10, 2013
On January 15, 2012 the Delta Phi lost a truly inspiring brother after his long battle with Leukemia. This brother was Kevin Ballantine, who would have been in the Cornell class of 2010, a young man who touched and made an impact on more people in his mere 23 years on this Earth than any could hope for in their lifetime. Kevin lived his life for others and always emphasized compassion, selflessness, and empathy as well as living life to its fullest. The brothers of the Delta Phi strive every day to exemplify Kevin in all that we do. Because of how much he meant, and will continue to mean to us, we hold this philanthropy event in his honor and memory. On Wednesday April 10th, 2013, the current undergraduate brothers will gather on Ho Plaza in the center of Cornell University's campus and each and every one of us will shave our heads to show our support for Kevin, our unity as a brotherhood, our desire to end the scourge that is cancer, and our commitment to carrying on Kevin's legacy. This is the fifth year of the event and we want to make it way bigger than its been in the past so please show your support by donating here, and coming out on April 10th if you are a Cornell student. Thank you so much for your support!
