Mercy lives with her mother and three older siblings. She came highly recommended by the landlord of Daraja Academy as a standout student.
Mercy attended a public government school. In class six, she was pulled out of her school and put into a private school by someone who had heard about her exceptional academic capability and that person agreed to sponsor her until class eight.
During her admissions interview, the administrators had to stop Mercy a few times because time was limited and her answers were so incredibly full and thought-out. They instantly saw how open and smart this young woman was.
Mercy aspires to work in high authority in the health department. She wants to bring health clinics to rural areas because she has seen firsthand how difficult it can be for people in such areas to receive medicine.
