Kidney Transplant for Sheila
Organized by: Sheila Trevino
My name is Sheila Trevino and I am only 51 years old! I have been sick since birth! Every day that I open my eyes is a gift from God. Right now I am in stage 4 of Polycystic Kidney Disease. I only have one kidney and it is functioning at only 12%. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children. My baby just graduated from LSU, Louisiana State University as a Industrial Engineer. I am extremely proud of him. He always promises that when he gets enough money that he will build my husband and I a tiny house. Yes, I am married to a wonderful husband for 10 years now. God blessed me with the man of my dreams and I am so very thankful. My husband is disabled and I am as well. He is a severe diabetic along with deformities . Just 6 weeks ago he had to have 2 toes amputated. I I was his nurse. Then 2 weeks after he got out of the hospital I was admitted with a boil on my scalps which turned into MRSA,( pronounced as Mercer) Staph infection. If you know what that is then you know that you don't want it! It is antibiotic resistant. Once again I was blessed with a full recovery. My husband's feet are healing so good. All the thanks and glory goes to our savior, Jesus Christ and his father, Jehovah God! I just got out of the hospital on Tuesday. I fell asleep while driving! This gentleman stayed by me and prayed till paramedics got there. Well the outcome was a broken spine!! Yes, that's right. As I sit here writing this letter I am in so much pain. You know what? I am still grateful. I had my seat belt on and survived a crash that by all means should have killed me! The truck was even on fire and my angel kept my spine straight and prayed. There are still good people in this world. Right now my husband and I are in bed because I am bed bound and it's hard for my husband to walk. Sometimes we might not get to eat or drink because it's too painful to move. A lady came to my house yesterday and signed me up for health care. I'm not sure what her duties are but I don't think that it includes giving me food and drink. Don't think that I'm complaining cause I'm not. I am extremely thankful! Did I tell you that first of all the hospital in New Orleans Transplant team will not do my surgery until I have raised 10,000 dollars and we do not have a vehicle to get me there. Please, please I am asking for a donation of any amount to help us out. Reach deep into your heart and pocket and donate to my fund. YOU can and will make a difference in our live! May God bless you and Thank you in advance for your donatuon.
