THE STORY:
U.S. Friends of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust wrote -
A record number of orphaned baby elephants urgently need your help. The DSWT is once again participating in the Holiday Challenge to support the needs of our Orphans’ Project. Last year, your generosity helped provide vital milk, medical supplies, veterinary services and 'round the clock care – each an essential ingredient in raising an elephant. This year your donation will be matched, achieving twice as much.
Ivory poaching tears families apart and claims an innocent life every 15 minutes. With your help we will provide for the record 87 orphans who are reliant on us for 24 hour a day care and protection. The annual loss of elephants means it is now more important than ever to band together and secure the vital funds needed to lead each orphan through the healing process.
This year your donation will have double the impact, courtesy of our Patron Kristin Davis offering to generously match every dollar donation received in the Challenge. So please join with us and be a part of the Crowdrise Holiday Challenge that will help us continue to offer hope to each innocent victim that comes into the care of The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
