I have changed the name from "Shelly's Success 1 Step At A Time", to "SAVE SHELLY". We have a potential treatment option that can hopefully save my mom's life. But it isn't cheap. We have until Oct 1, 2015 to raise $40,000. I'm desperate to find any way of curing her. Please read the bio below to get to understand her story a little more. ANY AMOUNT YOU CAN SPARE TO DONATE IS $1 CLOSER TO SAVING MY MOM'S LIFE! I can't thank you enough for taking the time to read this. Please help her if you can. Thank you!! -Falon, Winter & Willow
Shelly (my mom) has been through it all in just a short year. What started as a freckle on her knee, quickly became melanoma skin cancer. That spread to her colon, lymph nodes, breasts, lungs, and now she has brain cancer. She has had numerous surgeries, including knee, colon, lymph node, and most recently brain surgery. Chemo treatments and radiation treatments are all scheduled to begin this week to hopefully slow down the growth of the remaining tumor in her brain, as well as tumors in her breasts, chest, and lungs.
100% of the money we are able to raise will go directly towards Shelly's medical insurance cost, as well as the remaining stack of medical bills she is unable to pay. She is now on full disability, and will more than likely not be able to return to work, or ever drive a car again.
The tumors in her brain were so large, (the size of a large orange and one the size of a plum) they caused the right side of her brain to shift to the left side, which caused a slight bit of damage to her brain in the right frontal lobe. Shelly is more than my mom. She's the grandma (GEE) to my twin girls, a sister, a cousin, and most of all - a good friend.
She loves the outdoors. Kayaking, fishing, hiking and camping are just a few of her hobbies. With the ability to continue paying for medical coverage, we hope one day she will be able to return to the activities she loves. She just needs a little help getting there. Please help if you can. Every bit goes a long way. Even a $1....
