I recently went to visit my parents in Karachi and I went to meet a dear friend of mine in Badin, Sindh which is a 4 hour drive from Karachi. While travelling, I saw some horrific images of people living in tents on open fields due to the flood in the area in 2011! Its been 3 years and the situation is worsening each day. When I came back, I did some research from Wikipedia and other websites which told me that 8.9 million people were affected from this flood 3 years back out of which 2.7 million were children. 1.52 million homes were damaged and 6.79 million acre land was damaged. The heavy rain which starts in August and continues till September. Due to Badin and the surrounding areas are rural areas, these areas are affected the most due to lack of power, proper infrastructure and communication. And the unfortunate thing of all is that the government's response to these calamities were slow and very inadequate, which lead to millions homeless and thousands death.

The main problem is that monsoon in Pakistan starts in August and its already the end of June. So we have less than 2 months to collect the money and make the best use of it for these victims.

We really need to hurry! Please anyone who can even donate a dollar from his/her account will be blessed by this kind deed.
