BENEFITING: COUNCIL ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
It’s a Barn Raising!
Leadership Midland’s Class of 2012, Lifeline, is volunteering its time to build a storage barn for Shelterhouse to store the thousands of household items that are donated to Shelterhouse. Shelterhouse distributes these items to survivors to assist them in getting a fresh start.
Lifeline is asking for your help to rebuild lives! Your financial donation will help them make this project possible. With your assistance, Lifeline can purchase necessary building materials and other items that will make the storage building a reality. Please help by donating and spreading the word!

What is Leadership Midland?
Leadership Midland is a community leadership development program presented by the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce that provides exposure and insight to people who will occupy leadership positions within our community. A number of speakers and presenters share their expertise and skills with class members who are participating in the program.
Leadership Midland works to develop and enhance leadership skills; inform leaders about the opportunities and challenges facing our community; inspire leaders to encourage salutations and collaborations to make Midland County a better place to work and live; and provides a dynamic network of individuals to strengthen personal and organizational influence.
Leadership Midland began in 1986. To date, nearly 900 people have completed the program. For more information, visit www.macc.org/programs_events/leadership_midland.aspx.
Who is Lifeline?
Lifeline is a group of active Leadership Midland graduates from the Class of 2012. The Leadership Midland program requires that each class completes a community service project. Lifeline chose to build a storage barn for Shelterhouse. Lifeline members are volunteering their time and doing this work separate from their full-time jobs. Lifeline is not affiliated with Shelterhouse or employed by Shelterhouse. Lifeline’s goal is to help a nonprofit in need and make the community a better place to work and live.
