Relieving Government of a burden of maintaining a 50,000 unit inventory of quick-ship disaster and poverty relief shelters is the mission. See more
Shelter Society facilitates private donations ($15/mo pledges or 1-time donations) to fund borrowing to create and maintain a 50,000 unit inventory of disaster and poverty relief shelters. This relieves government of a civic burden, and places decisions in hands of the private sector, speeding response to need. SS, LLC is designing and testing a prototype, and is now organizing to become a 501c3 charity to make donations tax-deductible. Each $15/ month, 12-month pledge will fund borrowing needed to create one unit of a 50,000 unit, $150 million inventory. Each distribution of a unit will be predicated on receipt of a reimbursement from an end-user, or from their humanitarian benefactor, so as to replace a unit consumed, to perpetuate the inventory for meeting future need.
