Although cancer accounts for the most disease-related deaths in children, pediatric cancer research receives less than 5% of all cancer funding. Consequently, the FDA has only approved two new drugs in the last 20 years, and more than half of all treatments are over 25 years old. I was inspired to run for this cause because a friend of mine lost a child to cancer, and it is our hope that fewer parents will experience this tragedy if more awareness, support, and priority is given to research. Even if you aren't able to donate at this time, by reading this and sharing with a friend, you are bringing more momentum to this movement. Thank you for your support!
Update: this fundraiser has been extended to Monday, April 25th.
