This is my 10 year anniversary of being a volunteer with Main Line Animal Rescue. When I started, I was afraid to volunteer. I thought it would be too sad, that I couldn't handle it. Well, of all the things I've done, this has given me the most joy. It's what I'm most passionate about. Yes, it it can be sad, especially when I see scarred, matted dogs coming in from the worst puppy mills, or neglectful situations, or when a family member dies and their beloved pet ends up with us. But what gives me joy is seeing these animals receiving love from our amazing volunteers, going to our various classes for enrichment and watching them blossom so that they can be adopted and loved by their new families. Watching them go to their new homes has made us all tear up with happiness over and over. Now, my newer passion is cycling! And MLAR's Gran Fondo is a perfect combination of my two loves. So... I will cycle my butt off in the 50K to raise money for our beloved animals at Main Line Animal Rescue if you will help me!
