She Will Walk Five Hundred Miles
Organized by: Chris Harrison
All money goes towards my daughter's tuition for Georgetown University. She's taking two classes this summer- Medicine and Anatomy. She's a 4.0 student, #1 class rank, volunteer at the Science Center of Iowa, and a fantastic baker. However, money is tight here at home in a family of five. She was awarded a partial scholarship that covers 1/3 of the cost. If you can, please consider donating any amount you can to this fund.
Hello! I'm Sophie Harrison, and I was recently accepted at Georgetown University. I'm a hard-working, dedicated student who will do anything I can to reach my dreams (even run 500 miles). I have a passion for science, learning, reading, writing, and programming. I am devoted to studying in the medical field, possibly as a research scientist. My career of choice would be a biomedical researcher, where I think I can put my brains and hard work to the best. This program would get me there. I've been accepted to study Medicine and Anatomy at Georgetown University at the age of 14. I have a 30+ ACT score and a 4.0 GPA, but hard work, skill, and dedication won't get me everywhere monetarily. I recieved a partial scholarship from the University, but money does not grow on trees. I appreciate you looking at this.
My daughter will run a mile for every $10 donated. If our goal is reached, she'll have run/walked 500 miles. Everyone who donates will recieve a hand-written thank you note for all of your troubles. We thank you for doing this.
