EVENT DATE: Jan 08, 2013
Antonio is a 58 years old man. A dedicated and loving husband and father of 4. He has dedicated his life to helping others by being an active member of human Right groups in Ecuador (Comision Ecumenica de Derechos Humanos (CEDHU) and Grupo Especial de Ayuda Humanitaria).
About 3 years ago, Antonio had a surgery to remove a large tumor from his intestines. At that time Doctors recommended to allow time for his body to heal and recover from the surgery before performing a colostomy reversal surgery. Life events, lock of health insurance and economic situations have prevented the surgery from taking place. For the last 3 years Antonio has been living with a Colostomy bag. The Colostomy bag extends several inches out. It is an extension of his Large Intestine and literally is outside of his body.
In 2014, my vision for the world is a "World where people know they matter and live a healthy, joyous life". Please join in this vision by making a difference, one person at the time.
For every $200 dollars of donations met, I will run one mile. When the first $1,000 donation is met, I will enroll at least one person to run with me 3 miles. At the $2,000 mark, I will enroll at least one person to run with me 6 miles. At the $3,000 mark, I will run 9 miles and enroll at least one person to run with me. At the $5,000 mark, I will run a Half Marathon and enroll at least one person to run with me. You can vote on where the miles are accomplished, treadmill or road. Please include your vote in your donation message.
Please help me make a difference for Antonio and meet my half marathon goal for this year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
