BENEFITING: Kidz B Kidz Inc
Kidz b Kidz cofounder Nancy Corderman and her husband David's two oldest children have been diagnosed with Usher Syndrome; they are progressively losing their eyesight and hearing and will eventually go blind and deaf.
Kidz b Kidz (KbK) and the Corderman Family are bringing awareness to the most common genetic cause of combined deafness and blindness, Usher Syndrome (USH). The KbK campaign is called Shine a Light on Usher Syndrome in order to give a face and voice to Usher Syndrome through photojournalism and Art. Our goal is to build empathy and awareness for this disease, in the hopes of raising funds for the USH Trust Registry, genetic testing and research that will ultimately cure Usher Syndrome.
Currently there are only 1,000 people registered worldwide and we believe there are over 400,000 people who may have USH and can be confirmed through genetic testing. The updated registry including the genetic testing, will provide a state-of-the-art platform for Usher Syndrome researchers to do the appropriate trials on a variety of people with USH to eventually cure this disease.
Please donate to Kidz b Kidz so we can raise awareness and funds for people with USH before their world is dark and silent.
