BENEFITING: SHE'S THE FIRST
This cause is important because I feel as privileged Americans, females, and males we often take advantage of our education without noticing in various regions of the world not all women receive this opportunity. Education is the foundation of self growth and developing your character along with your particular life purpose. I feel as a student myself I have taken advantage of opportunity given to me such as free textbooks, free education for twelve years and local public schools within my community and it would not be right to follow along throughout my life without making others aware of the hardships going on in various countries. So yes, as a senior project I have given to myself, I will be partnering with "She's the First" to sponsor a scholar where the money is most needed in countries such as Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, Peru etc. As a born carribbean child, who has transitioned to American culture I typically forget the hardships faced in other countries along with the hardships my parents faced in their journey to America to give me a better life. So please join me on my journey in raising $1,500 for these women in need. Also, I'd like to thank Leonie Dupis for inspiring me to do this selfless project my senior year as well.
