BENEFITING: NOTHING BUT NET FOUNDATION
Will Sobel's Fifth Grade Corbett Preparatory School of IDS' Exhibition Project is a GO! He created an organization called "Shoulder Pets for Mosquito Nets", which collects money to send to "Nothing But Nets", a non-profit which buys simple mosquito nets for people in Africa to protect them from Malaria -- Every 60 seconds, a child in Africa dies, needlessly, from Malaria. These $10 nets are life savers -- literally. A $10 net saves a life.... Seems like so little money that does so much.
To raise money at school, Will is selling individualized "Shoulder Pets" -- each will come with a name, the town that they were born, and a a tidbit about what they love (not all as as dopey as "Lou" pictured below)... $2 per pet or $5 for three. All proceeds go to "Nothing But Nets".
To The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay friends and Jake Runestad, Will is making his donation in honor of Warda Mohamed and "We Can Mend the Sky" hoping we are a step closer to making her dream come true. Her poem will appear on his board and be presented to his class. "If we come together, we can mend a crack in the sky!"
If you donate money though this website, we will do our best to ensure you receive a shoulder pet (or three!), unless you specify that you will forgo the little shoulder pet.
Thank you to EVERYONE who helps support this cause! Let;s help make the world a little healthier place!
