You’re suddenly thrust into the world you did not expect. How do you help your child live a full life while experiencing your own roller coaster of emotions? You are not alone. CHASA has been helping families since 1996 – we’re here for you." ~www.chasa.org Our journey into parenthood began in this way over six years ago. Now that our daughter has found her independence, we work within the community to network with families in need of the type of support that the Children's Hemiplegia and Stroke Association can offer. Many families enter this journey feeling entirely alone, many times unnecessarily. CHASA offers a multinational support community, grants for orthotic equipment, scholarships for adaptive athletics and more. Founded by parents of childhood stroke survivors in 1996, CHASA offers a specialized knowledge base that proves invaluable for caregivers, doctors, and educators alike. Communities like this cannot exist without the generosity of others. Once we felt as though our emotional burden had lifted, it was our turn to pay it forward. Every donation counts- every family matters. Please consider helping us extend CHASA's reach to allow more people to breathe a little easier.
