Sienna's Hippity Hop Hip Dysplasia Help
Organized by: Georgia Johnson
We're raising money for Sienna's post surgery care. Sienna is so active that we want to make sure she has everything she needs to get around and still be her wild and silly and adorable little self this summer post hip surgery.
Here's the need...
- Special Car Seat for Sienna in her SPICA cast - $200
- Wheel Chair/Stroller for SPICA cast $200
- SPICA Chair $250 - $300
- Sensory scooter $120
- Miscellaneous Care items - $200 - $500
On November 11th Chris and Georgia took Sienna to Orthopedics in Mass Gen because of a leg length discrepancy and funny hop she had when she ran. It presented itself in an odd way and the doctor almost missed it completely until he looked at her x-ray and saw that her hip was in fact dislocated. She was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia and needs surgery which is now scheduled for Monday May 23rd 2016.
After surgery, she will be required to wear a Spica cast for hopefully only 6-7 weeks, maybe more. Then 3 months later she will have the pins in her hip removed. Both doctors suspect that the hip is coming in and out of the joint, they want to hold it back in place with the pins.
For any additional funds made, we will donate to the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, who raise funds to spread awareness and further research into Hip Dysplasia. #OneHipWorld
