The Children's Caring Cancer Center (CCCC) is a volunteer administered, 100% free oncology center for children.
The CCCC, unlike other pediatric facilities, provides long-term follow-up care into adulthood, corrective surgery and prosthetics, and whatever else is needed to improve the quality of life for the courageous children and young adults who are now long-term cancer survivors.
The center, led for almost 50 years by volunteer president & CEO Lee Klein, facilitates a number of auxiliary programs meant to provide an "antidote" to the high-stress emotional and financial pressure that otherwise would cause families to destruct. These include Camp Fiesta (10 day oncology sleep-away camp), The Family Fund, Joey's Wishes, and the famous Annual Christmas Extravaganza.
The greatest reward of the CCCC’s medical program comes from its remarkable, maturing patients, who have gone on to complete school, pursue professional careers, lead productive lives, get married and have children of their own. Their accomplishments and celebrations–at graduations, weddings and other occasions–honor the true spirit of life and the very purpose of the CCCC.
OUR CHAPTER unanimously decided to volunteer our time and energy to supporting the CCCC and its patients. Our goal is to raise $15,000,all of which will go towards the treatment of these afflicted children. Our leadership and members have spent countless hours to organize events for hundreds of participants, complete the surprising amount of back-office work needed, and coordination with the CCCC to make this an engaging and memorable experience for students and patients alike.
We need your support. 100% of your donations will go to the overhead-free cancer treatment center. Your tax-deductible donation to the 501c(3) organization will dramatically improve a child's quality of life.
