Ainsley's Angels is thrilled to help ensure Signe can soon roll with the wind in her very own freedom push chair! With your generosity, we are certain this can happen soon. As the father of two very special girls that race together with me, I know that the positive energy surrounding the start line as we prepare to be included and "roll with the wind", and the normalcy of the family, is a therapy like no other.
Here is a note from Signe's father:
Welcome! thanks for taking a peek at my fundraising page for Signe.
Being in a crowd of kids who are running, and playing, often tickles her to laughter.
I love to take her on runs with me so she can enjoy that sense of movement she otherwise doesn’t get. Fast running! Signe has a diagnosis of M-CM, macrocephaly-capillary malformation., a rare genetic syndrome. http://www.m-cm.net/ Among the common traits of people with M-CM that she has are asymmetry, low muscle tone, and hyper mobile joints that make it difficult for her to get around. She walks with a walker at this stage, and we certainly hope that she will eventually run herself. but right now she rides while the family pushes her on many walks/runs around her home town and during local races.
Now Signe is growing, and quickly. She has outgrown her current jogging stroller in just a few short years. The next step is a jogging stroller that can not only support her length, but also her weight. The hills are getting tougher! This is why I’m asking for your support in helping us attain the Freedom Push Chair, which is designed to hold up to 200lbs., so there’s plenty of room for growth and many years of use, if needed. http://www.advancemobility.org/freedom.php
Signe loves the sense of movement she gets while running with me in races. Her smile makes it all worth while. Please consider making a donation for her new chariot!
Thank you for your time,
