THE STORY:

Prevent, Protect, & Preserve Africa's last remaining rhinos from Poaching.

Statement of Issue: Poaching of Africa's wildlife, particulary of its vulnerable and endangered species such as elephant and rhino, is currently at crisis level
Underprepared, undertrained, underequipped: Park rangers and wildlife reserve security teams are neither properly trained nor equipped to combat this war on wildlife
Statement of Mission: Our objective is to deploy a professional Specialized Interdiction Unit (SIU) on an as-needed, fast-reaction basis throughout South Africa, in an effort to increase overall security, and to help decrease the rate of poaching deaths in the country
Project Unicorn, a documentary film project featuring Mykel Hawke and Marsh Mokhtari, is designed to expose traditional medicine fallacies and the crime syndicates that fuel this barbaric demand.  On the front-line of this war against poaching, Project Unicorn will follow a team of 14-South African former special forces professionals tasked with protecting rhinos.  Stay tuned for updates on this exciting initiative!  For more about Mykel & Marsh, read their bios below.

Marsh Mokhtari

Marsh Mokhtari has taken a lead role in the cause by mixing his love of conservation, wildlife and travel as the host and executive producer of 'Project Unicorn', a documentary film focused on the abolition of rhino poaching. Marsh Mokhtari is a US-based TV host, producer and adventurer. He was born in the UK and spent his first six years in Iran, before returning to the UK for the remainder of his childhood. Marsh earned a degree in medical physics from Newcastle University. During his studies, he played American football for the U.K. national team and rugby for the Newcastle Falcons. After a brief career in the financial sector of London, the lure of travel & adventure took him on a journey, this time to Australia, where he had a fortuitous encounter with a film crew and found his true calling. The thrill of the entertainment industry took Marsh not to Hollywood but to of all places, Bolivia, where he hosted a special for the History Channel called 'Death Road', that garnered him instant credibility. His next move was to host National Geographic Channel's 'Perilous Journeys' - a global travel-adventure show. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he's been hosting adventurous TV shows for the past ten years. Stay tuned for updates on Project Unicorn! You can visit Marsh's website here: marshm.com.
