SIMBA MUST HAVE SURGERY FOR BLADDER STONES!
Organized by: Beverly Van Zyl
Simba is a sweet loving dog that means so much to me. After Simba went outside to go pee, he would have drops of blood on the floor. I took Simba to Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists in Largo, FL about 6 week ago. Dr Oswald did several tests (blood test, x-ray, and ultrasound) on Simba. I found out that he has several stones, a polyp in his bladder and stones in his urethra. The doctor gave me medication and special food to help him to make the stones get smaller. We had an appt with Dr Oswald 6/12/15. They did an x-ray on Simba. The stones did not get smaller. Dr Oswald told me that Simba must have the surgery to remove them. He has 7 stones in his bladder and 3 stones in his urethra plus he has a polyp in the bladder. He has been peeing blood because of the stones, and the polyp in the bladder. Since the 3 stones are in the urethra he is peeing around them. They will continue causing him problems, and soon it will cause him to stop peeing because the stones will block the urethra. He needs them to be removed. Dr Oakes will push the 3 stones in his urethra back into the bladder. Dr Oakes will remove all the stones and the polyp. They will do an x-ray to make sure everything is out. He will have to stay overnight, and take medication. I do not have the money to pay for the surgery. If you can help, Simba and I would be so grateful. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!!!
