Single Mother of 2 Fighting Brain Cancer
Organized by: Cindy Alsup
Jessica is a young, vibrant, sweet & caring 32 year old woman that just had her second child, Emma, who was 6 weeks old, and Noah, who was 3, when she was diagnosed with Medullablastoma last march. A rare and aggressive brain cancer.
Jessica has since endured 3 brain surgeries to remove 3 tumors, radiation on her head and spine, which kept her in the hospital for the most part of 6 months, and chemo therapy, which will continue for about 30 weeks.
Jessica has endured so much pain & suffering, and with all she is going through, she still takes on her daily roll of super mom. The children always come first, however much is lacking during her battle with cancer.
There are days when Jessica is too sick to care for her kids, it would be helpful for her to have child care to help her keep up with the kids high energy levels, however she just can't afford this. Jessica finds it difficult to keep food on the table for her and her children, which leaves her going with out at times. Her car has broken down and she finds it difficult to get to her treatments, doctors appointments, etc. rescently Jessica's roommate moved out, making her rent unaffordable to her. Jessica is struggling to pay for her rent, utilities, groceries, etc with her small income from SSI disability.
As a family, we have found it difficult to manage on our own. If you can find it in your heart to lend a hand, and help her and her children, while she kicks cancers butt, it could be life changing to her and her children. Thank you in advance for prayers, donations and sharing her story, we look forward to paying this kindness forward.
