Join me today to help reach our goal to rescue and restore more girls in celebration of International Day of the Girl!
Tonight there will be light and prayer ascending from the east coast, rolling westward as the sun goes down. We're saying, "Jesus is the Light it the darkness of the abuse and slavery of girls. He has much better plans for them, and we, as His abassadors are shining His light for all to see - today and every day - into the darkest corners we can find!
World leaders agree, a host of evils can be demolished by equipping girls. Everything from slavery to poverty to child marriage are best addressed by helping girls to live free and empowered.. That's why the UN has named October 11, International Day of the Girl.
"Hope Shines" is the She Is Safe initiative for this special day to let the world know that all of our friends agree in freeing and equipping girls as we shine the light of God's love into the darkness. And on the evening of Oct. 11, we want to brighten the night by shining our lights, and gathering for prayer. We want to see how many we an possibly free and equip from this one shining night. You can shine where you are!
She Is Safe has been shining the light of hope and freedom for abused and exploited women and girls for over 10 years. Every year we seek out pockets of darkness where we can help light the way to a whole new life.
It takes on average about $365 to free and equip one woman or girl in our yearlong effort of prevention, rescue and restoration.
Please join me, invite others, and let's share the Light of the World on October 11, International Day of the Girl, through SIS Hope Shines.
