Put a girl to work: send a sex worker to summer school! July summer school tuition, room and board 510.00 for share room / 590.00 for a single + gas and tolls 110.00 = 700.00
Every year, the United Association for Labor Education (UALE) sponsors four regional women’s summer schools for union officers and activists. Women from all over the country learn the skills and knowledge needed to play leadership roles in their unions and to grow and transform the labor movement. One of the most valuable aspects of the summer schools is the opportunity to meet and network with other union women from around the region and beyond. M. Dante has been covering issues related to sex work, and the related impact on women's labor and human rights, for twenty years. Interest in the topic of "sex work as work" has become mainstream hot and heavy, however the researchers and sex workers who pioneered this effort are often blocked from funding NGO and faith based organizations currently receive to represent the cause. Former sex trafficking victims and sex workers are left out. Academia and Labor are essential to sex workers basic human rights.Do something smart. Send a working girl to summer school!
